I was born in Minsk, Belarus during the fall of the Soviet Union. I emigrated as a Belarusian-Ukrainian-Jewish refugee and grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. I live on Lenape land in Brooklyn, NY. I am a proud "third-culture kid”, having walked between worlds since my birth.
I am an artist, first and foremost, and I believe the role of the artist is to create. Creation is an act of birth, and all births require a visionary and a vessel, a process of imagination, growth and development, a portal or canal and a ritual of emerging as a new being onto the material plane. Creating a work of art, a business, a child, an idea — all follow this map, and I have devoted the last 15+ years of my life to guiding this process for myself and others. My superpower is experiential structuring. With the right structure, anything can be built.

I am a co-creator of Those Before Us, Rebis' most recent audio- immersive dance experience bringing marginalized history to life in public spaces through interactive performance.
